AT: How To Take Care Of Your Accesories

Metal Jewelry and Accessories:
Most of our metal jewelry is either plated in 18K gold, imitation rhodium (silver) or sterling silver. Neither the gold nor the imitation rhodium plating will tarnish. Sterling silver, however, will always tarnish in time, and the normal tarnishing process will be accelerated with exposure to air and humidity.
Here are some guidelines to care for your metal based accessories:
  1. If you start noticing a yellowish hue on sterling silver items, you can remove this tarnish by using a jewelry polishing cloth, (we recommend the Sunshine Polishing Cloth or similar) which you may use to shine all metal items. Please don’t put water onto the cloth. It only works dry. DO NOT use the polishing cloth on:  Preserved  Flowers, Leather, Freshwater Pearls, Crystals, Rhinestones, or gemstones.
  2. Keep all items in the original packaging and store in a cool, dry place.
  3. Please refrain from spraying hair spray directly onto the pieces. Hair spray leaves a sticky film that attracts dirt and it is difficult and sometimes impossible to clean off. Also avoid contact with perfume or any other chemicals or make-up.

Genuine Flowers & Other Preserved Natural Elements:
For designs that incorporate our carefully selected genuine preserved flowers and other natural elements (e.g., Enchantment Collection, Seaside Collection),
Here are some tips on how to care for your bridal piece to make it live way beyond your wedding day:
  1. Please carefully shield your accessories from hair spray, chemicals and make up. Hair spray leaves a sticky film that attracts and holds onto dirt and it is difficult and sometimes impossible to clean off. Chemicals and cleaning detergents can damage the finish on your design permanently.
  2. Clean/dust items off with a soft clean dry cloth.
Please always put each piece back into it’s original packaging and store in      a cool, dark and dry place. Storing in exposure to sunlight, heat, & humidity will limit the life span of these pieces.
